José Collection by Mauricio Arruda

Brazilian designer Mauricio Arruda has designed a collection of storage units that houses plastic crates. The crates are made of recycled plastic boxes and the specially-made wooden frames with steel legs carry an environmental certificate seal.

Mauricio Arruda is a well known designer and professor, currently teaching at the IED Brazilian branch – Instituto Europeo di Design. More about his profile, projects and designs on his website or his blog.

The 365 Knitting Clock was designed by Siren Elise Wilhelmson to convey a sense of time by showing a process. Each half hour it stitches one stitch. A day is marked by a complete circle of stitches, and at the end of one year, 2 meter scarf has been completed. The future? It's still unknitted wool. Don't you love that?
