If Ellen von Unwerth and Helmut Newton had a love child the result could be photographer and rising art star Tasya Van Ree. Van Ree's high contrast portraits manage to appear both fashionable and caught in-the-moment, documenting her very personal relationships with her subjects and her muse Amber Heard.

Tasya Van Ree and the actress Amber Heard had their come out this month at the 25th GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation). They are a couple since 2008. YES!

'Uh huh her' are Camila Grey & Leisha Hailey

An L.A. Indie/Electropop Duo, named after a PJ Harvey Song.

The talented Camila played already Bass & Keybord for Dr. Dre, Melissa Auf der Mauer, Busta Rhymes and Kelly Osbourne, while Leisha temporarily left the music business to join the cast of the hit serie 'The L World'.

They delivered the titel song to the new movie 'The kids are all right' and are currently working on their new album, which should come out in spring 2011.

Wish them all the best in the music jungle L.A. and hope to hear them soon.

Berge by Moormann

I wrote about my computer crash I had early in 2009 (ouww.. so long ago!). I lost a lot of posts, notes and pictures. I forgot about few things.. therefore here a late post about the beautiful Hotel Berge in Aschau im Chiemgau, Germany.

Some of you may know designer Nils Holger Moormann. I do like his designs very much! My bo and I are thinking about a new bed and our favorite is one of Moormanns' designed beds. How ever, despite Mr. Moormann creates brilliant clear furniture, he also owns a 'Herberge' - hostel near his head office.

Nils Holger Moormann bought in 2006 land in a little picturesque village in Bavaria to built his factory. The contract of the land included an old rundown historical house. There was no personal use but despite this they started rebuilt the house in 2007. Step by step the idea growed and Berge was born. Of course all is furnished with his designs, minimal, clear and to all intents and purposes - Moormann’s signature style.

Berge is distinctive. I follow the project since 2008 and would love to visit the area and the Hotel once. It's interesting not only for the design rather for the concept with the organisation of the 16 rooms. The analogy to my work place and my own dream Hotel is very similar.

Jeff Bridges photography

Jeff Bridges' interest in photography began at high school. In 1977 he received his first Wide-Lux as a belated wedding gift from his wife Susan, a professional photographer at the time. The Wide-Lux is a panoramic camera that was first produced in Japan in 1948. He began to carry the camera with him on movie sets and started taking pictures. Since then he has taken numerous black-and-white photographs and in 2003 a collection of a few of his best photo pieces was published in a book titled "Pictures". The book is like a 'behind the scenes' look at some of the movies he was in. His latest exhibition was in autum in Germany Düsseldorf.
Jeff is brilliant and I have no doubts about that. His personal and funny website spreads his hearty humor. All the best!
