I spotet Tim Hussins work early in 2009. I admire his storytelling. His ability of showing the raw truth deeply touches me, every time. His photojournalism skills are incredible, amazing how good he is at this stage in his career.
Born and raised in Florida, he graduated from University of Florida in Gainesville 2008, where he studied journalism and environmental science. While in school he interned already at the Monroe Evening News, Desert News and the Rocky Mountain News. After graduation, he interned also at National Geographic Magazine in Washington DC.
He has been recognized and winner in various competitions, including College Photographer of the Year 2009 and a first placed award in the 2009 Hearst Photojournalism Shootout in San Francisco.
Currently he is with his brother riding recycled bicycles across the United States and meeting people. Tim wants to slow down and rediscover his country that is strong in his blood, on a journey of personal and cultural discovery that he shares with those who will lend an ear.
Sleeping in the forest, eating what the nature offers and living on the edge is just one side of their ride. More to see on their interesting website.
I hope Tim will go on for miles and miles and miles and will spread his magic energy.
